Asalam Walaykum!
On behalf of the staff, I would like to welcome all our new students and their parents. I am certain that becoming a member of the Iqra community will mark a definite new chapter as we embark on our collective mission to provide the best in education to our students.
Iqra’s rigorous academic procedures, extensive investments, steadfast commitment to quality and firm management have shaped the dynamics of our institution that exceeds the standards of the Ontario Curriculum. Iqra was established as a private independent school in 1997 to cater to the growing demand for an Islamic education in Mississauga. In Arabic, the term ‘Iqra’ means ‘to read’ and was the first word of the Quran to be revealed to our beloved Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). Therefore, our curriculum also inculcates religious and moral principles to its students in order to enhance their Islamic personality.
As the principal, I hope that the experiences gained at Iqra will gear our students towards the bright and prosperous future they deserve.
